User Tutorial

A quick guide for community members, event managers, speakers, and sponsors.

This page uses role-based tabs. That keeps support simple while still giving each user level focused guidance.

Quick Start

  1. Log in with GFAVIP SSO.
  2. Open Events to browse or manage events.
  3. If you are internal team, open Dashboard to see work needing attention.
  4. If you need reusable instructions, open SOP Library.

Role Guides

Choose a tab below for the most relevant workflow guide for your role in the platform.

Community Members

  • Browse public events from Events.
  • Open an event to review the description, milestones, and event details.
  • If you want to participate, use the event application form on the event page.
  • Once approved, you may be assigned tasks or event-specific access.

Event Managers And Team Admins

  • Use Dashboard to see live events, pending applications, overdue milestones, and open tasks.
  • Create events from templates using Create Event.
  • Manage reusable templates from Templates.
  • Maintain SOPs from SOP Library.
  • Inside each event you can manage milestones, tasks, participants, speakers, and sponsors directly.

Speakers

  • Each event has a dedicated speakers page at /events/<event_id>/speakers.
  • Managers can add speakers, track readiness, store join links, assign SOPs, and track checklist items like slides and tech checks.
  • Assistant emails can be stored for coordination.
  • Use the speaker page permalink when you want a stable event-specific coordination URL.

Sponsors

  • Each event has a dedicated sponsors page at /events/<event_id>/sponsors.
  • Managers can track sponsor status, onboarding checklists, assistant contacts, and sponsor document links.
  • This is the best place to keep sponsor coordination in one stable permalink per event.
